Specializing in architecture, engineering, and professional services, I assist King County internal agencies in procuring contractors for specific bodies of work. I help facilitate communication between agencies, contractors, and the greater community in order to the best stewards of our resources. To start, I meet with project representatives to develop scopes of work, evaluation criteria, timelines, and discuss best ways to advertise their solicitation. From there, I guide individuals through the evaluation process in order to select the most qualified firms. Next is negotiations, were I verify financials, work with risk management to collect certificates of insurance, assist with profit negotiations, and conduct level of efforts meetings for fixed-fee and lump-sum work. At the end, I finalize the contract and exhibits and send the documentation out for execution.
