Senior designer on Children's and Men's outerwear

• Designing Ladieswear, Girlswear, Boyswear and Menswear denim & woven garments such as jeans, trousers, shorts, skirts, denim shirts, denim jackets and denim dresses• Designing graphics for high street customers • Attending & arranging customer meetings, presenting ideas and samples to customers and producing design CAD's • Bringing in several new customers including Monsoon, Fatface, Dunnes, Arcadia• It also involves going on frequent shopping trips, researching current and future trends, creating mood & trend boards, graphic boards• Producing technical packs & artworks to send to factory, frequent trips to the factory abroad, checking over samples, approving lab dips and frequent communication contacting the factory.

• My main duties involve designing boyswear and menswear denim garments & graphics for high street customers and entails me to manage the boyswear department• My job involves me attending & arranging customer meetings, presenting ideas and samples to customers and producing design CAD's • It also involves going on frequent shopping trips, researching current and future trends, creating mood & trend boards, graphic boards• Finally my other duties are to produce technical packs and artworks to send to factory, frequent visits to the factory abroad and checking over samples, approving lab dips and frequent communication contacting the factory. • This role develops me further from a designer to a more senior role. It has also gives me the experience of managing a department. Which it has gained me skills in managing an assistant, organisation and training skills

• My main duties involve designing boyswear and girlswear garments for high street customers such wovens, denims, jerseywear and swimwear• My job involves me attending customer meetings, presenting ideas and samples to customers and producing design CAD's • My job also involves researching current and future trends, creating mood & trend boards • Finally my other duties are producing range sheets and artwork for factories, chasing and checking samples, approving lab dips and contacting the Far East factories. • This job has developed me further as designer to a more professional level. It has also given me the experience of designing a selection of different product areas. It has given me more creative skills in researching and designing, organisational skills, presentational skills, communicational skills

• My duties involved designing garments such as polo shirts, knitwear, shirts, jackets and tracksuits for customers. • It involves producing design CAD sheets and researching other fashion retailers for knowledge on our customer needs. • My other duties involved me doing garment technologist work and merchandising such as order forms, chasing and checking samples, approving lab dips, garment quality checks, contacting the Far East factories. • Finally other duties were writing letters, invoices and customer accounts. • This job gained me skills as progress in the industry as a designer and gained skills in technical side of fashion to more professional level. Finally this job has gained me communication skills, administrative skills, organisational skills and creative skills.
