Analysed JAC content for both Trusts and designed 10% of Medication Administration catalogue in initial 4 weeks in preparation for Cerner Design Review Event. Led a small team to design and validate remainder of Medication Administration catalogue. Worked with Pharmacists from both Trusts to design and validate Prescribing catalogue. Configured default dosing information, (including BNF advisory labels), for Inpatient, Outpatient, TTA and Med History settings. Ensured Prescribing and Medication Administration catalogue content was correctly mapped to each other and linked specific Orders and Products where necessary in the system. Collected Product barcodes from a range of sources and tested they had been accurately entered into the system. Successfully passed Cerner Meds specific design and build training courses. -

Approached in January 2004 to join the EPR Team as an Application Analyst. Main responsibilities included enabling accurate medication prescribing by setting up new drugs on Lastword in a timely manner and maintaining drug records on both an ad hoc basis and through regular updates provided by FDB (FirstDataBank); analysing the occurrences that drugs were prescribed by free typing instead of selecting from the drug tables provided, using this analysis to identify user training issues, new drugs to be added to the system and issues related to the design and set up of the prescribing module. Also set up and maintained agreed default dosing information for drugs in liaison with pharmacists and clinicians across the Trust. -
