My interests lie in environmental protection and sustainability - whether that has to do with energy efficiency, eco-responsible business practices, helping influence new govt legislation, or simply doing a community trash clean-up, count me in. I get deeply engaged in program management, analytics and business development activities, as I like to dig into detail in order to determine trends and potential gaps, but also to initiate and drive new processes internally and externally. My background in the sciences led me from working in the commercial LED lighting business to my current position with Fluence Bioengineering, which marries LED technology with both the advanced field of horticulture lighting and the ecosystem of companies that contribute to moving the horticulture industry forward. At Fluence, I'm working to bring intelligence from the field into our strategic business choices to continue to serve our customers with the most advanced technology and services we can provide. I love digging in! From how our specific spectra affect a significant increase in chemotype expression in plant phytonutrients, to how many sales people we need to hire next quarter, and what target markets we're focusing on next year, I'm involved and excited to be part of this beautiful company. For fun, I'm always looking forward to my next trip, cooking project or hiking adventure. Eventually, some day, I will own oyster farm. These creatures are so incredibly important to our marine ecosystems, maintaining the health of the estuarine environment, the quality of the water, and serving as protection for many fledgling species as they grow to maturity... and they are delicious! Save me a Kumamoto ;)
