Main HR contact for Strategy, Finance, Information Technology Groups, and the Science, Industry and Business Library. Responsible for recruiting/staffing for these areas. Provide support to managers for: Recruiting, Performance management process, Coaching and progressive disciplinary process, Learning and development, Comp, Leave management and any other HR related issues for both a union and non union environment.

Responsible for recruiting talent into a diverse workforce. Openings ranged from Librarians, to IT positions, to facilities, education and outreach, maintenance and so on, in full time or part time capacity, in both union and non-union roles. I worked closely with hiring managers to find out what their needs were, draft job descriptions, create a sourcing strategy, and interview and select the best candidates. I conducted hourly and salaried new hire orientations for these new employees, welcoming them to the Library.

Manager of Guest Experience in a 30 million dollar per year store. Oversaw department of 30 staff including managers, cashiers, guest services, and some salesfloor team members. Rotated Manager on duty responsibilities where I was responsible for handling anything that happened in the store: daily tasks of entire store, guest complaints, emergencies, opening and closing duties. Responsible for hiring, coaching and progressive discipline for staff. Monitored sales, inventory levels, expenses, vendor management, schedules, guest satisfaction surveys, and productivity for my area.
