• With DMBA’s Data Security IT team, brought DMBA into compliance with GDPR. Included data mapping, implementing policies, drafting contracts, and documenting progress.• Renegotiated asset custody and securities lending agreements for DMBA’s primary international and domestic custodians for US benefit plan trusts (combined value of $7 billion). Assisted with account opening, FATCA, CRS, global sanctions, and other regulatory compliance documentation for investments in 20 countries. • Handled ERISA and regulatory compliance solutions for the retirement plans, including EPCRS corrections, state tax withholdings, identifying and calculating benefits for lost participants, resolution of data issues (and associated corrections), actuarial equivalence, hardship withdrawals, and suspension of benefits. •Advised a startup forensic investigations and financial services company in Reston, VA. Drafted LLC agreement, NDAs, and independent contractor agreements. Guided decisions on partner compensation, marketing, contractor management, and venture capital funding.•Drafted wills, advance medical directives, and powers of attorney.

•Directed ERISA matters (including amendments, mergers, audits, and compliance) for all US operations, employees and retirees. •For a publicly traded multinational oil and gas company, processed government and natural resource damage claims for a multi-billion dollar trust fund. Direct responsibilities also included trust management, drafting policies and procedures, communication with senior executives, and improving internal controls. •For the same oil and gas company, assessed and closed out 3,400+ equipment leases at the end of a major project, resulting in $29 million in settlements and over $436 million in cumulative savings.

•Performed pre-acquisition FCPA due diligence and investigations procedures worldwide. Clients included multinational, publicly traded pharmaceutical, food packaging, agricultural, technology, chemical, and natural resource companies. Results shared with U.S. regulators as appropriate.

•Investigation of a multi-national agricultural corporation, focusing on potential payments in violation of the FCPA and other US terrorist financing statutes. Results shared with U.S. regulators.
