As President and CEO I am responsible for the strategic direction, and operations of Excentium, Inc.As an IA professional, I am driven to bring efficiency to the process of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and am focused on securing our Nation's IT systems while enabling innovation through a thoughtful risk management approach.As an Information Assurance Manager and chief advisor I have supported several Military Health Systems (MHS) programs. I managed teams of security professionals responsible for the maintenance of system accreditations and operational security. I developed an IA program to guide the Clinical Information Technology Program Office (CITPO)/DHIMS through the many challenges associated with developing information systems within DoD. My program incorporated Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, (HIPAA), the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), and Service specific accreditation activities.

As an Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, I managed a Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for programmatic activities toward a successful Homeland Security Presidential Directive – 12 (HSPD-12) Program for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). I conducted all marketing activities leading up to the fruition of this contract including the development of several white papers on Certification and Accreditation (C&A) in accordance with the National Institute for Standards and Technologies (NIST) Special Publication (SP 800-79.)

As an IAM for IntelliDyne, LLC. I developed, and managed a security program for the Joint Medical Information Systems Office (JMISO) under the MHS. Utilizing the DoD Information Technology Security Certification & Accreditation Process (DITSCAP), and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) my team of security analysts and vulnerability assessment engineers were directly responsible for assessing the security of joint medical information systems and providing accreditation recommendations to the Designated Approving Authority (DAA) prior to deployment. This brand new endeavor for JMIS required me to build and manage standard processes and procedures, and a team of security professionals.
