Today when it comes to change in organisations many managers handle the structural side quite well but fall hopelessly short on the people side of change. To rectify this situation a 'change leadership' approach is the best solution.Change leadership is about recognising the different phases of change, and the emotions associated with those phases. Change leadership requires leaders to address and embrace new beliefs and mindsets and to develop best practices and behaviours that help all those affected by change to adapt and flourish. Our next generation leaders will need to be strategic, passionate, hardworking, kind, focused, enthusiastic, and above all creative. My work, therefore, involves aligning people around a common change purpose while at the same time empowering them to stand on their own feet and make appropriate decisions at appropriate times to maximum effect.
