An expert in the field of state and professional accreditation, I have experience in international evaluation and ensuring continuous improvement of educational quality, and is also a member of the Russian experts in the evaluation of federal projects. In 2018, I was the international team leader for the professional accreditation of the program of the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (UTP), Colombia. I led the Commission to evaluate 7 academic programs, with the main objective of ensuring the recognition of the UTP diploma in Europe (Label EUR-ACE®) and encouraging Colombian students to participate in international exchanges. The results of the Commission's work and the proposed improvements were highly appreciated by the Colombian government, and in the summer of 2022 I was invited to participate in the discussion of areas of cooperation in the field of education: student exchange between programs with the EUR-ACE label and the creation of dual degree programs within the framework of international professional and public accreditation of 4 engineering education programs at the National University of Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia) and 7 education programs at the Technological University of Colombia (Universidad Tecnológica de Colombia).

In close partnership with Arizona State University, and under the guidance of Dale P. Johnson (Director, Digital Innovation University Design Institute, Arizona State University), I have created a sustainable model of online master's degree programs, which allows the expansion of MISIS education in the EdTech market, together with leading employers in Russia (Sber, Yandex, VK Group). The revenue from these programs is more than 100 million rubles per year, and more than 500 students are enrolled in these programs.

Founded the first school of pedagogical excellence in Russia, aimed at research, development and application of new educational technologies. I completed an internship at University College London, as a result of which a partnership agreement was signed and permission was obtained to use the UCL Arena Center methodologies in the work of the School of Teaching Excellence. The developed standards, regulations and evaluation system of educational spaces, e-courses and teachers are recognized by the Ministry of Education as systemically important best practices aimed at supporting the implementation of public policy. I was awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation "For Contribution to the Implementation of the State Policy in the Field of Education".With my participation, NUST MISIS launched a project on technological entrepreneurship among university students, more than 15 university partners were involved in the project, and startups created by students received their first venture funding. For the results, I was awarded the medal "For impeccable service of the MISIS I degree" by the rector.Under my leadership three out of six branches of the University were established, two of them outside Russia: in the city of Gubkin, Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, in the city of Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan, and in the city of Almalyk, Republic of Uzbekistan. For the establishment of the branches I used my own experience in designing modern scientific and educational premises, regulatory and methodological support of educational activities. For my contribution to the development of education and industry of the Republic of Tajikistan I was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan and the medal "Honorary Worker of Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan" of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In 2014 I underwent professional retraining at the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo in the Rectors' School program and defended the final project "Educational Policy of NUST MISIS 2014-2019". Since 2015, I have decisively changed the approach to the organization of the student learning process, instead of the common dean's offices, for the first time in Russia was designed the Student Office - a single space where students of all institutes can solve any of their questions. Alexander Volkov gathered the best practices of experience exchange with universities in the USA and the UK, the main change was that the Student Office had a digital twin in the educational system of the university, and by 2019 all necessary questions were solved by students using services in a digital personal account. This allowed to optimize the management structure and transfer additional staff to the institutes to improve the educational work. For the results Alexander Volkov was awarded by the Rector with the medal "For impeccable service of MISIS III degree".In 2019, he underwent professional retraining at the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management under the CDTO: Digital Transformation Management program and defended a project on creating a digital platform for the university. The "Student Office" digital project includes: class schedules, grade monitoring, electronic credits, access to the university's educational platform, tuition and dormitory payments, and much more. Many digital services are available to teachers and staff: interactive timetable, individual teacher's plan, ordering of certificates and other documents, electronic statements, etc.A distinctive feature of the NUST MISIS educational platform is the focus on the use of the author's artificial intelligence tools: digital assistant for teachers based on large language models, automated peer-to-peer evaluation of students' work, big data-based learning management, and adaptive learning models.

I presented a project on professional navigation for schoolchildren to the management. The goal is to popularize engineering education and improve the quality of university admissions. The program is comprehensive and covers all regions of Russia, as well as foreign countries. Approximately 210,000 students participate in 59 vocational navigation projects annually. The number of partner schools will increase from 5 to 315 between 2013 and 2022. This growth has been ongoing since 2013. NUST MISIS has consistently ranked among the top 5 technical universities in Russia for several years, according to the 'Monitoring of the Quality of Admission to Universities'. The university has also received commendations from the Rector and the Moscow Mayor for its comprehensive professional navigation program.

Successfully prepared the branch for accreditation, developed new curricula, ensured the opening and licensing of 5 new fields of study. The number of students increased by 1.5 times, and thanks to the concept of scientific and educational cluster developed by me, the branch received investments from the regional governor and increased the size of the branch campus by 3 times. I was honored by the mayor of Stary Oskol and the administration of the Stary Oskol district.

On a number of projects I was the leader and responsible executor, on the basis of this methodology I'm actively conducted researches on strength and seismic resistance of equipment of a number of NPPs: Balakovo, Leningrad, Kalinin, Kursk, Novovoronezh, Rostov. These studies were conducted under contracts with such world-renowned Russian organizations as the All-Russian Research and Design Institute VNIIAM, JSC Atomtehenergo, LLC Energomashproekt, Center Atominnovation, LLC Atomseismoproekt.
