A one-year traineeship at the library of the European University Institute (EUI).The main focus of my traineeship was E-Resources management, however, I also worked with the ILL department and Circulation and at the front desk of the library. my tasks included but were not limited to the following: - Cataloging books/ eBooks, databases, eJournals, databases, and DVDs with Marc 21 in Symphony / SirsiDynix. - Maintaining of the KnowledgeBase (EBSCO Host) - Making and maintaining reports with BLUEcloud Analytics- Troubleshooting - Maintaining parts of the website with the CMS - Processing ILL request (SirsiDynix/ Subito/ OCLC)- Maintaining contacts with publishersProjectUpdating all information regarding the a-z database list. Such as updating the marc records and the description on the website and troubleshooting.

Project 1: since 2011 the department of Tax Law at Leiden University houses a book collection of 7000 titles. The collection Belasting & Douane Museum (tax and customs museum) in Rotterdam. My task consisted of making an inventory of the collction to get an overview of its content. Project 2: Going through the J. van Soest Collection, consisting of 3500 books. The removal of duplicates and making an inventory of digitally available publications.

During my placement, I worked on the Material Evidence in Incunabula database (MEI). MEI is a database specifically designed to record and search the material evidence (or copy specific, post-production evidence and provenance information) of 15th-century printed books such as ownership, decoration, binding, manuscript annotations, stamps, prices, etc. I added records for the incunabula of the National Library of the Netherlands to MEI and where necessary I conducted or added new research to the provenance information.
