Cornel Ekeh has passion for communication. He is well versed in Social Marketing, Development Communication, Project Management& Implementation, Behaviour Change Communications, and Community Mobilization and AdvocacyHe is experience in health development communication especially in HIV/AIDS prevention and community participation approaches. Since April 1999 Cornel has successfully managed/Supervised many of SFH’s community level HIV/AIDS and reproductive health projects in Imo, Abia, Rivers and Bayelsa states.He has carried out numerous community grassroots HIV/AIDS awareness programmes and sensitization in the last Fifteen years in the South East and South-South states for Youths, market men and women, female sex workers, artisans and most at risk populations. He is a trained and certified HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) Counsellor, and couple Counsellor, HIV/AIDS Master Trainer and a Counsellor Supervisor As a trained a counsellor supervisor, he led the HIV Counselling and testing team of Society for Family Health, and Catholic Relief Services Imo state mobile/ community HCT/PMTCT Outreaches and has been doing same for the USAID, DIFD and Global Fund projects and other projects.Cornel has been involved in field research work in field testing, developing and placing malaria product for children, Water Guard for safe water, Plana (cycle bead) Family planning products and strategic business communication activities. He contributed immensely in the draft of the Nigerian National Policy on Community Development in Abuja at the Sheraton hotels as a delegate and participant in 2007 He has over 23 published abstracts for National and International conferences notably presented at International AIDS society conferences in 2008 , National HIV/AIDS Summits; 1st and 2nd National conferences on community development; The international conference on family planning and best practices in Uganda in 2009
