Taipei City, Taiwan

Worked with high school students at the Taipei American School in Taiwan to formulate a proposal on whether the United States should end arm sales to Saudi Arabia. The students and I researched extensively about the background of U.S.-Saudi relations and conducted analyses on whether ending arm sales would be in the U.S.'s best interest. The research that I did with the students in Taiwan was especially pertinent to U.S. politics today as the unjust killing of U.S. journalist Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi has prompted members of the U.S. Congress to sponsor bills prohibiting the problematic weapon sales the U.S. participates in.

Davie, Florida

Led labs to construct cost benefit analyses to decide whether the South Korean government should deploy anti-missile systems. We predicted the most likely anti-missile device that would be used by the South Korean government to be the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense or THAAD system. We analyzed international ramifications of using THAAD like the potential imposition of trade and traveling bans on South Koreans by China as a way to retaliate against the anti-missile system.

I served as Vice President of the Urban League's National Achiever's Society. This program is designed to enhance the number of students of color that are prepared, qualified, and motivated to enter institutions of higher education. Under my leadership, our 200+ students participated in college prep workshops, conferences, regional and state academic competitions, and cultural events.
