In 2007, I became a partner in the Samudra beach resort and residences, a mixed-used development by The Retreat Hua HIn Co., Ltd., in Hua Hin Thailand. I took up the position of Director of the company and was actively involved in the concept development, planning and marketing. I was involved in all the initial planning processes and design concepts for both properties, preparation of FF&E and operating equipment budgets and sourcing of FF&E and operating equipment.

Bangkok Metropolitan Area, Thailand

I was principle consultant in Pre-Opening and hotel performance tasks.-Golden Pearl Hotel, Bangkok- Assisting the owners in planning and setting up their hotel. This involved close interaction with architects and interior designers. Planning and carrying out of all pre-opening tasks.-Ramada Encore Bangkok - Assisting the owners with checking and reviewing proposed FF&E budgets, manning guides and hiring schedules.-Vismaya Hotel (Freestanding, boutique style hotel) - Competitors analysis, Preparation of projections for the owner, assisting with recruitment, Budgeting for FF&E and operating equipment and training of staff.- Ramada Continent Bangkok ( since then de-flagged) as pre-opening consultant.

Assisted pre-opening of Isavan and the Residence which were unique to the industry.Worked closely with Tony Chi, renowned Designer in completing this very rewarding project. Prepared and set up the Hyatt Training Acadamy.

Hong Kong

Joined “Hyatt International” in 1989 as the pre-opening Executive Housekeeper (Executive Committee member, reporting directly to the General Manager) for the opening of their Flagship property the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong whi ch would eventually become the Best New Hotel and one of the 10 Best Hotels in the World.Duties and responsibilities:• Overall upkeep of the Hotel, cleanliness and maintenance• Managing a staff force of 90 people• Fully in charge of the preparation of annual budgets for the Housekeeping department as well as uniforms for the entire hotel and the linen budget for all departments• Close interaction with interior designers and artwork consultants• Social interactions with hotel guest including many VIPs from Royalties, Politicians, movie stars and to international business magnates• While working as a room’s executive in Hong Kong, I was seconded to Santiago de Chile, to assist with the opening of the Hyatt Regency and the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. (Not the existing Park Hyatt)
