Director, Localization
CurrentAfter several years as QA Manager working with the US, German, Romanian and Bulgarian QA teams of Demandware's eCommerce cloud platform - now Salesforce Commerce Cloud - , I have been leading the localization of our business tools and all materials associated with new, foreign market entries since September 2013. This includes:• Lead the delivery of efficient and high-quality internationalization and localization of the Demandware patform• Identify technology, process and tools for high-quality, cost-efficient localization and drive their effective implementation• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Documentation, Training and Support teams to define requirements and deliver on-time and within budget a native experience to foreign language users• Develop localization production workflows that will scale to meet the needs of a fast growing business• Manage relationships with translation vendors and build cross-functional localization teams, incl. internal internationalization developers and quality assurance engineers as well as external translators, editors, and testers, and also internal content producers as well as reviewers in field offices• Own and report on scheduling, quality and efficiency of the localization projects to executive team • Build a centralized localization group that services the localization needs of all Commerce Cloud groups incl. Engineering, Documentation, Training, Support, Client Services, Marketing, Legal, HR, and Retail Practice• Identify opportunities to leverage localization expertise with Salesforce customers during implementations on the Commerce Cloud platform
