The NATO-led mission Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan was aimed to provide further training, advice and assistance for the Afghan security forces and institutions. Senior Advisor to Assistant Minister of Defense for Personnel & Education (Senior Executive Position). Provided training, advisory and assistance focused on developing and implementing policy aimed at improving organizational capabilities within the functional areas of: - Personnel and Talent Management - Education and Training - Pay and Incentives - Martyrs / Disabled policy development and implementationAdvisor Team Lead for Rule of Law / Transparency, Accountability and Oversight (RoL/TAO) Branch responsible for Train, Advise and Assist efforts supporting the Ministry of Interior (MoI) Inspectors General (IG) Office. Served as the G5 Plans Officer executing an enduring mission in support of U.S. Army Central Command and Unified Land Operations Forces. Responsible for supporting and executing long-term (3-5 year) sustainment and logistics planning for 22 countries throughout the Middle-East. - Led cross-functional Operational Planning Teams in performance of operational-level planning to support command initiatives, theater sustainment, security cooperation events, and operational exercises. - Communicated through managed publication of operational orders, facilitating feedback to stakeholders, and providing briefings to senior leadership.. Developed executive briefs to communicate observations, analysis, and insights to senior leadership.Accomplishments:- Delivered Annual Base Operations Plan covering 22 countries in the Middle-East as well as stateside and deployed Headquarters organizations.- Conducted strategic engagements with senior Saudi officials of the Royal Saudi Land forces to develop strategic relationships and identify opportunities thereby furthering partnership development.- Performed as Observer/Controller on three command post exercises to certify Expeditionary Sustainment Commands for deployment and subsequent deployment operations.

Afghanistan

Commanded and led a team of Advisors supporting a 600-Manned Afghan Battalion. Responsible for leading the development, implementation assisting the Battalion’s transition from operating as a battle space owing unit serving as infantry to one that executes combat support providing enabler support to larger operations. LEADERSHIP. Supervised a team of specially trained Officers and NCOs of reconnaissance, field artillery, engineering, intelligence, communications and logistics functions. Recommended 10/12 team members for Bronze Star Medals and all members received the award.TRAINING & COMBAT OPERATIONS. Trained and logistically prepared the battalion for combat operations which resulted in the functional units providing enabling combat support to other Afghan units with minimal U.S. assistance. Collaborated with multiple coalition force units to enable integration of Afghan forces for specialized operations

Iraq/Fort Bragg, Nc
