Cornelius Gilbert, Ph.D., is a 3x graduate of one of the world’s best institutions of higher education. As an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, he is the author of several articles related to diversity, inclusion, and belonging. In his book, Advancing Equity and Diversity in Student Affairs: A Festschrift in Honor of Melvin C. Terrell, of which he is the third editor of, Dr. Gilbert also possesses a solo-authored chapter within. Dr. Gilbert is also a seasoned speaker with numerous presentations throughout the country.Fueled by his faith, Prof. Gilbert is passionate about his craft to construct positive changes in a challenging world. His tool is education. Cornelius adopted and adapted his mission to develop tomorrow's excellence by focusing on today's purpose.Professor Gilbert's commitment and dedication get transferred outside of professional interests because he finished three Chicago Marathons and one Twin Cities Marathon (in Minnesota). Additional activities include membership to the nation's oldest collegiate Black Greek-lettered organization—“Alpha Phi Alpha. Prof. Gilbert developed a fun and peripheral interest in cryptozoology. Specifically, with "unidentified" "hominid creatures"—Sasquatch, or Bigfoot :o)Cornelius's warm humanity allows others to be at ease, whether presenting or intermingling. Cornelius is a Christian and values the Mark 8:36—“For what shall it profit a man, if shall gain the whole world, but lose his soul?"
