As a group of adult learning experts, the Learning Programs team ensured that incoming Education Pioneers Fellows have the experiences and resources they need to succeed in new roles across education sector. As Associate Director, I led a team that designs, develops, and delivers in-person and virtual experiences (i.e. workshops and convenings) that bring Pioneers together to learn and connect with each other. With the support and expertise of my team, more than 600 new Fellows each year cultivate mindsets and skills to make a difference for students and families. During my tenure at Education Pioneers, I was the primary architect of our national operational systems and program design strategy to ensure the smooth delivery and logistical execution of our programs. Additionally, I oversaw the development of a logic model to help my team clearly articulate the tenets of excellence for our programs as well as create a pathway for an evaluation system rooted in the core principles of our organization. In addition to managing program strategy, I oversaw the national programming budget and worked with my team to maximize efficiency while keeping costs low.

In this role, I trained and developed staff through evaluation, coaching, and delivering PD based on adaptive leadership principles as well as implemented school-wide data cycles and a professional learning community for new teachers. These efforts resulted in measurable, high expectations for teacher development and student achievement.

Cambridge, Massachusetts

While in graduate school, I dedicated 20 hours a week to a principal internship at a local Boston Public School, There, I helped develop a school-wide peer observation program using the Teaching Rounds protocol as a larger focus on transitioning leadership of instructional teams from administration to teacher leaders.Also, I helped instructional teams strengthen their focus on deep, conceptual learning for primary students.

Greater Chicago Area

As a founding member of a school that was part of a nationally renowned charter district (Noble Network of Charter Schools), I led a team of teachers to create team practices to support staff and student development,which manifested in the design of several classroom/school systems to promote and sustain operational efficiency and academic excellence. As a classroom instructor, I co-created an ACT (college readiness standards) based writing curriculum and constructed (and led) meaningful professional development to drive overall grade level goals.

Greater Chicago Area

During Teach for America's summer training in Chicago, I created and oversaw organizational systems, built and maintained relationships between Teach for America and Chicago Public Schools staff, collected data to drive student outcomes, and acted as a project manager for summer school logistics for over 40 corps members.

In my role as an ELA instructor, I maintained and supported high expectations for all students by designing meaningful lessons to reach a myriad of diverse learners as well as using data (SRI, EXPLORE, UNIT EXAMS) to drive instructional practices. I also coached the debate team.

Plano, Texas
