Responsible for research and development of the oil and gas sector in the Middle East. Assisted in securing the first Oil and Gas project for Mercury Engineering in the Middle East; Mercury is a large and dynamic group covering a wide spectrum of services. My function was to establish what the Oil and Gas market had to offer Mercury in the Middle East. Prior to this Mercury's concentration was on large commercial projects where the successfully executed projects in Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE.This was an interesting and challenging position.

Imtech Group acquired Suir Engineering in Ireland. I was responsible for the development of new business opportunities outside of the Irish market .Making a positive contribution to the integration of Suir into the Imtech group.Developing new opportunities in the emerging markets.Responsible for identification of new market opportunity and project acquisition..

Offally Ireland

I purchased the property from the Irish State in 1994 as a ruin. Over the next years I developed the resort into a world famous resort hotel, especially famous for celebrity weddings. The project was very successful until the crash of the Irish economy which had an extreme negative effect on the business. The property continues to trade.

The Netherlands

I was contracted by the Sunvic Group to assist in the development of the group. Sunvic operated primarily in Germany, Belgium and Holland. I was responsible for the acquisition of special projects with my own dedicated clients. My dutiies were to identify new opportunity for the group. Perform business development activities which included preparation of pre qualification documentation, presentations to clients, tender management and submission and negotiation of contracts. During this period we were successful in the acquisition of a project in Norway which was a project which I identified and put the entire project acquisition plan together. I was later responsible for the management of the project.In 2001 Sunvic was acquired by the Cegelec Group.

Brussels Area, Belgium

At this time the Fabricom Group had made their first acquisition in the Netherlands. Fabricom had just acquired Tot & Beers which was an E&I company operating in the northern part of the Netherlands. My duties were to assist in the restructure of the company from the point og view of project acquisition. I identified a number of potential projects, one being a large power generating station in the north of the Netherlands. We defined a clear strategy which involved the formation of a JV with a British group with previous experience with the client.We were successful in winning this project among others. My responsibilities were to identify the opportunities, manage the pre qualification proceedure, manage the tender process and negotiate projects with the clients.

Delft The Netherlands

I was responsible for the delivery of the entire budget for Europe which included fixed operations in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We also executed projects in Norway, Luxembourg and France . I was responsible for the acquisition of tenders and the tender management. Our tender teams were based in the Netherlands and Belgium. My responsibility was to manage the tender process and negotiate all contracts together with the team. As a director of the company I followed each successful acquisition through to completion and maintained relationship with the client.We established the business in 1986 and achieved significant growth.
