My name is Cornell Fox. An award-winning social care professional with over a decades experience in the supported accommodation sector. My current role supports 18-24 year olds at risk of homelessness with a range of needs such as care leavers, migration groups or offenders. I support with employability and independent living skills although being a service user in my teens helps me to place myself into their situation and identify positive lifestyle choices. I am a BA (hons) social care & social policy graduate with a clear understanding and methodology to break the cycle of disadvantage. The social issues that I find are the overall barriers to those chaotic and vulnerable lives of the young people compared to young adults, their age without the same challenges, are addiction, low educational attainment, long term unemployment, offending history, mental health, migration or poverty. My mindset is that of the Japanese philosophy saying ‘when travelling on the train, and missing your destination. The further you go, the more expensive it will be to get back to where you should’ve been’. An African proverb says ‘If you want to go, then go alone. But if you want to go far. Then go together’. My roles outside of the workplace reflect my growth mindset and motivations. I am a published author, aspiring actor, youth football referee, business owner and songwriter. Contact me for a discovery meeting and my business can help to add value to your services. Whether you work in any capacity with children and young adults in education, housing, mental health or sports I am also open to work with any other relevant teams. www.goal-driven.co.uk
