As Co-Head Wrestling Coach, I am responsible for developing the wrestling skills of my team and coordinating assistant coaches and team staff. I adamantly adhere to the athletic oversight guidelines and rules of conduct established by the State of Missouri and Christian Brother's College High School. I possess and maintain specialized athletic training, as well as educational credentials. I work each season to set practice schedules and develop appropriate conditioning for each athlete after observing their needs for developmental improvement. As often as possible, I work one-on-one with the wrestlers to assess their abilities, develop goals and objectives for the season and determine appropriate weight divisions. This involves teaching wrestling moves and strategies and educating wrestlers about the rules of various types of competitions (Freestyle, Folk-style and Greco-Roman). I reiterate sound nutritional practices to confirm athletes are well-nourished without going significantly over or under assigned wrestling weight categories, as well as provide safe methods of losing or gaining weight when they do not maintain their appropriate weight for their assigned class.

As a teacher, I often create intriguing and significant lesson plans for my students to enjoy learning. I utilize a variety of equipment and tools to accomplish a consistent variety of classroom engagement in each new task. I enforce rules and use positive methods of disciplinary action to keep my students encouraged to stay focused and on task. I document and grade student's work, tests and progress throughout each school year, recording student activities in accordance with laws and school policies.

I created a superior vision for the team and implemented it to cause significant improvement for the team as a whole and students as individuals. As required of me as a wrestling coach that desired to create a positive and life improving impact on each student and adult I come in contact with, I built and maintained relationships on trust, encouragement and dedication. I assisted the Head Coach in developing strategies, supervising athletes during all practices and competitions as well as instructing students on rules, regulations and techniques of the sport of wrestling. I helped to assess each wrestler's skills and monitored students during practices and competition keeping the head coach informed of each student's progression. I displayed positive sports-like behavior at all times and maintained appropriate behavior with all students, officials, opposing coaches, spectators and parents. In this position, I assisted the Head Football Coach, along with other assistants in all aspects of the day to day operations of a NCAA program. While in this position, I consistently demonstrated a commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes and adhered to all NCAA and Conference rules and regulations. My obligations included evaluating and recruiting potential student athletes, organizing and conducting team practices, performing administrative and public relations duties, and other duties as assigned. I coordinated defensive game plans and game day play calling. My duties also included monitoring academic progress and personal development of student-athletes. I regularly demonstrated leadership and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes.I always maintained positive constructive working relationships with student-athletes, athletics department coaches and staff, and all members of the college community. I took a sincere interest in the personal, academic, and athletic development of the student-athletes.I never ceased to exhibit loyal, supportive, and cooperative behavior to the head coach, the football program, and the college. At all times, I promoted the football program in a positive way to not only the college community, but to the community outside the college, to high school coaches, and to recruits
