Cornelle has over 30 years’ experience as a doctor and leader working in the British National Health Service (NHS), having been a consultant in Acute Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, a Clinical and Divisional Director and a Deputy Medical Director. Her Post-graduate qualifications include a research degree (DM) and the NHS Leadership Academy Nye Bevan and Leading Care III Programme. Her Board level experience includes the third sector serving as a Trustee for Community Links, including being the Trustee Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Community Links is an award-winning mental health charity which consistently features in the top 20 most inclusive companies. Cornelle has considerable experience in medical workforce and quality and is a proficient Serious Incident Review Chair. She has expertise in evaluating incidents and cascading the learning alongside being Trust mortality and quality lead, implementing notable outcomes.Cornelle has always placed an emphasis on encouraging and supporting current and future medical leaders. She has designed and delivered development programmes for consultants, medical leaders and clinical teams. Her coaching mindset leaves her with a strong belief in promoting empowerment of others. With a focus on the power of multi-professional interventions and inclusive leadership, Cornelle enjoys creating the balance of high support and high challenge as she works with both individuals and teams. Cornelle has had the privilege to lead on a number of large-scale change projects, taking on roles in the reconfiguration of local and regional services.
