The State of Real Estate ReferralsFor a real estate agent, the highest quality referrals come from loan originators (LO). LO referrals are valuable not only because the client is actively involved in the home buying process, but because they are pre-approved for financing.Usually, LO’s refer clients who have not yet selected a real estate agent. Conversely, these referrals are frequently to the same agents who refer borrowers to LOs when in need of a mortgage. This referral system is as old as real estate financing itself, but it is far from perfect. For example, there is no way a referring LO can be assured if or when an agent will refer a borrower back to them. Additionally, RESPA prohibits LO’s and real estate agents from exchanging anything of value, except the referral itself. Our mission is to offer real estate professionals the opportunity to improve upon this outdated referral model.Referral Realty, LLC. (“RR”), allows properly licensed LO’s to refer their borrowers to amazing real estate agents and to receive a substantial referral fee for each referral made. It also gives LO’s exposure to a wider network of real estate agents from whom they may receive mortgage origination referrals. The result: more deals. RR is not re-inventing the referral wheel, we are simply rolling it in a more profitable and different direction.
