Melanie Cornwell is a multi-platform content creator, producer, and editorial strategist for clients including WIRED, Business Insider, Quartz, The Hollywood Reporter, AFAR, Vanity Fair, GQ, National Geographic, Digital Content Next, NPR, The Atlantic, The Economist, LAUNCH (a technology accelerator created by NASA/Nike/State Dept), Condé Nast, Endeavor, and select corporate partners. Previously she was Editorial Projects Director at WIRED, where she built the department to extend the influence of WIRED’s editorial beyond the magazine, including TV, digital, radio, and live events. She was Executive Producer of WIRED SCIENCE, a 10-hour primetime science series on PBS. She produced the music video "Keepon Dancing to Spoon’s 'Don’t You Evah'" in Tokyo, which was accepted as an academic publication for an International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction; named one of the 50 best videos of the year by Pitchfork; and one of the top 10 viral videos of the year by Entertainment Weekly. Melanie was EP of a WIRED series of daily news reports on CBS Radio and EP on 3 documentaries about WIRED NextFest for the Discovery Channel. She co-produced a landmark Creative Commons-licensed CD with artists such as Beastie Boys, David Byrne, Gilberto Gil, My Morning Jacket, Danger Mouse and Cee Lo. She also produced countless events, including “McCain v.
