S.E.I. is a company operating as general contractor in the field of renewable energies.Main areas of activity:- contract negotiations with relevant technical suppliers of Norwin A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark aimed the construction of an assembly plant of wind turbine generators in Italy under license of Norwin;- wind farms, especially those based on 200/225 kW wind turbine generators of Norwin; - photovoltaic plants;- mini/micro hydro power plants (typical of areas rich in relatively small water flows);- bio co-generation.

2006 - 2009: Project Manager in the Delivery & Service Operations Directorate he has the duty to coordinate, at both contractual and operating levels, the realization of large IP MPLS networks and related informatic services for national and international customers Inter alia, in this period he has been:- Project Manager of the new IP MPLS network for the Italian Ministry of Justice including innovative anti-intrusion services for safe informatics in about 1500 sites including courts at all levels, prisons of every security level and classified data centres. In this framework he managed managed the emergency caused to the network of the Ministry by the recent earthquake in Abruzzo.- Project Manager of the new IP-MPLS national network and connection to the homologous international network of Unilever Italia S.p.A., Italian company of the Unilever group whose operations in 142 nations are related to production and distribution of food, cosmetics and hygienic products.Main providers: Alcatel, Marconi, Ericsson, Cisco, Huauei, Sirti2003 - 2005: Senior Network Engineer in the Technical DirectorateMain achievements:- Design of WAN network for health service of the Liguria region in order to provide fibre optics access to hospitals and related data centres;- Design of a MAN network in Rome in order to provide fibre optics access to firms and related data centres.1999 - 2002: Access Network Specialist in the Local Loop DirectorateScope of work: Development of access network (the so-called "last mile") after the end of the monopoly in the telecommunications sector in Italy and the phase called “local loop unbundling”.Main achievements:- Finalizing of agreements with the new licensed operators (Fastweb, Metroweb, Retelit, etc.) in order to reduce the costs of customer access circuits as regards both leased lines and dark fibre;- Access costs reduced by a percentage ranging from 20% to 50%Main partner: Boston Consulting Group.

Reporting to the Commercial & Programme Director he has been in charge of several and different commitments regarding both complex commercial negotiations and management of relevant projects in aerospace, telecommunications and marine fields. Relevant research projects has been developed in the frame of Euroopean Union funding programs.As regards space projects he has been involved in the following programs:- SAX (Satellite for X-ray Astronomy) – scientific satellite of ASI (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana - Italian Space Agency) - prime contractor Alenia Spazio;- XMM (X-ray Multi-mirror Mission) – scientific satellite of ESA (European Space Agency) - prime contractor DASA- Huygens – ESA space probe aimed at landing Titan (one of Saturn’s moons) after more than 7 years voyage - prime contractor Aerospatial- Artemis: ESA telecommunications satellite - prime contractor Alenia Spazio.In marine operations he has been in charge of the Safety Management System (SMS) prototype development for a Cruise Ship of more than 100.000 tons, more than 4.000 people including crew and passengers. The committing shipyard was: Fincantieri Trieste. The final ship-owner was P&O, based in UK and USA. The SMS was designed to supervise all types of warnings generated by each safety susbsystem (e.g. fire detection & suppression system, firewall doors, watertight doors, etc.) and thus provide the safety officers with quick and precise suggestions about the safety policy to be set up under emergency conditions.Research and Development programs funded by the European Union have been an important area of activity lasted 8 years. Thanks to the involvement in these projects meaningful contracts have been awarded as regards microelectronics and advanced software development.

His main role was to coordinate proposal preparation, customer promotion and project management in the following areas:- Automatic Explosion Sensing & Suppression Systems aimed at detection and elimination of explosive phenomena at the inner of armoured vehicles of the Italian Army, namely B1 Centauro and C1 Ariete produced by FIAT IVECO – OTO Melara Consortium;- Integrated control systems for highway tunnels;- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Systems of hand printings in collaboration with mother company AEG Elektrocom based in Konstanz (Germany), world leader in postal sorting systems.In this period he had the opportunity to collaborate with US companies like Hughes Aircraft Company and Marotta Scientific Controls.
