Created an interactive, web-based hierarchical clustering visualization using D3js in an AngularJS framework. Features of the visualization would allow for data-selection and data-exploration directly on the tree/heatmap. Engineered a hierarchical clustering algorithm in Java to support inclusion of the necessary metadata for the front-end service. Optimized the clustering algorithm in Java, including a C++ implementation, to be CPU/memory competitive with common clustering packages used in Matlab, R, Genepattern, etc.

Lead two physiology laboratory sections comprised of sophomores-seniors with the direct assistance of two undergraduate assistants. Responsible for lab setup, prelab instruction, proctoring weekly quizzes, leading laboratory exercises, and creating midterm and final exam. Collaborated extensively with Lab Director, other teaching fellows, and assistants in developing a consistent and effective lab teaching plan, including testing and prelab instruction. Held two weekly office hour sessions for extra help.

Analyzed and reported on monthly and quarterly complaint metrics across all division products to product teams, board of directors, and corporate QA. Standardized complaint metrics and presented new analyses of product performance. Designed and implemented several data processing systems to quickly take complaint and investigation records and create daily/weekly/monthly reports. Created a new monthly complaint report and helped design and eventually conduct monthly complaint meetings that were presented in front of the board of directors.
