Teaching parents how to keep their kids safe while traveling in a car, a bus, or an airplane! Installing Child Safety Seats (car seats) can be tricky and confusing. I teach Technician Certification classes throughout the state of Colorado. The class is regulated by Safe Kids World Wide and provides a national certification. I also teach parents how to install their child restraint(car seat) or speciality device in order to keep their children safe while traveling.

I worked with a team of investigators within the Police Department to completely revamp the Registered Sex Offender Program, re-wrote the policies and procedures for how to handle contacts with RSOs, how to track their registrations, and provided training to patrol officers on the policy and procedure revisions.I effectively worked as a Crisis Intervention Officer and was frequently requested to assist in mental health calls for service. I worked as a full time School Resource Officer for 4 months before I took over the RSO program. I then filled in as a SRO and worked at 5 different schools in the city on temporary basis. I was able to establish relationships students and staff to effectively fill in when needed.I loved being a Police Officer! I was medically retired after a head on traffic crash that left me no longer able to leap tall building and run like the wind. However I still have all the brain power and community skills that are built from being in the profession for 13 years!

I volunteered as a reserve officer for two years and then came on staff full time for one year before making a career move to CSPD for more growth opportunity.

Managed the day shift with 41 employees and three campuses. Constructed employee's bi-weekly schedules and daily position schedules. Conducted interviews, made hiring decisions, completed and counseled performance reviews, and made termination decisions. Worked with a contract company for temporary security officers to supplement Hospital security staff. I built a strong team within our department as well as relationships with other departments.

I managed all aspects of the store to include ordering product, making employee and assistant manager schedules, managing profit and loss margins, maintained cleanliness, food, and customer service standards, completed employee performance reviews, and provided training for new employees.
