Autism Behavior Technician Specialist
Current•Directly assists students and teachers by collecting/analyzing data, providing identified reinforcements and/or consequences and implementing other components of behavior plans for the purpose of achieving targeted behavioral goals.• Works with students to increase social competencies for the purpose of making improvements in relational skills.• Attends meetings, workshops, conferences, trainings, etc. for the purpose of receiving and conveying information.• Communicates with teachers regarding assigned student’s progress for the purpose of participating in needs assessments and/or assisting in evaluating progress regarding behavior support strategies.• Documents observations of student performance in academic and school activities (e.g. social skills, behavior, assignments, etc.) for the purpose of providing written records and/or complying with mandated requirements.• Provides assistance by utilizing behavior reduction strategies and performing approved physical intervention techniques, when required, for the purpose of ensuring student safety.
