Growing up I always had aspirations of becoming a sports reporter. Though I come from a sports-oriented family where we all have played ball at the collegiate level, it was the tradition we have of sitting around the TV on Saturdays in the fall cheering on the LSU Tiger football team that sparked my dreams of standing on those sidelines one day. I have put my passion into action working for a media communications company out of Amarillo, Texas called Press Pass Sports where I covered all sports in the Texas Panhandle. I went to Texas high school football games as their game of the week girl to record a pre-game standup shots previewing the game and a 2-3 minute post-game interview with the winning coach. When I’m not under the Friday Night Lights, I work for West Texas A&M University Athletics hosting a sports-related podcast called The Rundown that covers every sport at the university. We release weekly episodes that include highlights, standings, and sit-down interviews with coaches and players. There are several segments that make up the show such as Coffee With Coaches and Conversations With Corrin. During volleyball season, I color commentated the WT volleyball home matches and conducted post-game interviews with players and coaches. When the WT football team was in town I gave a halftime interview with the opposing team’s coach. Occasionally, I will hop on a local radio show on KGNC called The Sports Nerds to banter about high school, college, and professional sports. I’ve made a couple appearances on Fox 14’s sports show called The Locker Room giving a Texas high school football preseason preview sit-down interview with a star quarterback in the area and calling football highlights. I also intern with KAMR Channel 4, learning how to shoot highlights, cut and edit b-roll, and produce shows. To top it off, I am a full-time student at West Texas A&M University planning to graduate with my Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Communication and Media in May of 2024.
