As a Teacher Manager I am responsible for the development and supervision of four math teachers. I conduct weekly observations where I analyze both teacher action and student action to determine the effectiveness of the classroom setting. I then rate the teacher based on competency buckets to create the highest leverage action step for the teacher to have highest impact on student learning. This information is the delivered during a weekly meeting where we discuss content, lesson planning, student progress and create actions to increase student engagement and performance.

As a Grade Level Chair I assist my Senior Team in student behavior, restorative relationships, professional development, planning senior joy; including large events such as graduation and our end of year field lessons. As well as, creating tracking and support systems to ensure students are on track for graduation and credit acquisition.

I piloted our financial math course on KAC Campus. This included creating a scope and sequence, simulation research, curriculum research and class vision creation.

As an experienced instructional coach who has increased teacher effectiveness, I transitioned into coaching other instructional coaches. This means I create professional development for a cohort of teacher leaders to help coach them on developing transformation mentorships that will lead to more sustainable and effective first and second year teachers.

As an instructional coach I was able to mentor other teachers and support them in growing their own skills. I led weekly observation meetings where we analyzed their student performance data, their observation data and created and action step to implement for the following weeks. I also tracked their progress from week to week in order to identify patterns of success and areas of improvement.

At KIPP Austin Collegiate I began our study abroad program. The purpose behind this program is to provide an opportunity for our students to explore another culture through museums, architecture, food and community. This program has seniors apply for acceptance to an international trip for each year. Students apply in December their junior year and then are accepted and registered by February their junior year. The location of the trip changes each year and has taken students to Spain, would have taken students to Greece in 2020 and is taking students to France 2023. The cohort of students ranges from 25 - 40 and the duration of the trip is 10 -12 days.

As an educator I am teaching Geometry and Financial Mathematics. I create lesson plans, intervention plans, academic progress trackers, excel documents to track mastery of standards, mentor students and develop the curriculum my team uses.

As Content Team Lead I worked with our Math Team Assistant Principal to create a scope and sequence to support teacher development. This scope and sequence focused on opportunities to grow in restorative practices, DEI practices, community developing strategies, development in student engagement practices, development in student progress monitoring and structuring teach backs with supportive peer feedback.

During the summer and through the school year I created the Geometry Curriculum used across the KIPP Austin and eventually the KIPP Texas District. This included scope and sequences, daily lesson plan notes with standard alignment, resources to support ACT CCRS standard alignment and development, creation of aligned formative assessments, end of module assessments and end of semester assessments.

As a member of these committees I worked on increasing staff retention through policy adjustment, staff recognition and joy events. I also supported in increasing student joy through pep rally organization and student of the month celebrations.
