This position includes the same responsibilities as my previous position (Retail Sales Coordinator), but adds the direct management of employees. Over the past year, I have also gradually added responsibilities such as working on the Green Team (pushing sustainable practices forward at the organization), working with other departments to reach marketing goals, and encouraging visitors to continue their education about invertebrates beyond the physical walls of our building. I have to work with a diverse group of stakeholders (both within and outside of Butterfly Pavilion) in order to forward our message and reach our goals.

- Buyer, merchandiser, and sales coordinator with the goal of making money for the organization so that it may provide the best possible educational opportunities and engage in groundbreaking invertebrate research and conservation activities- Work closely with the marketing department to ensure the continuity of site-wide promotional projects into the gift shop and online- Growing the online store to increase sales beyond the physical limits of our shop- Support and execute promotional ideas from team members- Find new vendors and create diversity within the gift shop to attract/engage different demographics — with preference to fair trade, local, and woman- and minority-owned businesses - Provide patrons with the opportunity to continue their Butterfly Pavilion experience and invertebrate education beyond the organizations fences by making available products which are mission-based, encourage outdoor exploration, and spur curiosity about invertebrates for people with all levels of knowledge

Beginning in May 2021, I served as the Vice President and then I took over as President following the graduation of our sitting officer in December. In this role, I managed the club (which is student-run and mostly self-funded) and it’s members while working with various CSU departments and non-CSU organizations.
