Python Research using Machine Learning to predict the Onset of the Influenza Outbreak

During our mandate, our team organized multiple initiatives including a research delivery session with a special committee composed by the Director of Economic Studies from CMVM (Victor Mendes), Economists from Bank of Portugal (Ana Gouveia); Ministry of Finance (Alexandre Mergulhão) ; Ministry of Economics (Ana Rita); Chief-Economist of Santander, Rui Constantino and Executive Director of Institute for Public Policy (Joana Vicente).We supported and Provided Mentorship in Economic Research and leadership advices to members. Members developed research in partnership with the Ministry of Finance (GPEARI); Ministry of Economics (GEE) and Knowledge Centers from Nova SBE such as Economics for Policy. As Head of Economic Research, I created the opportunity for those projects to be developed and provided guidance to younger researchers to advice strategic cabinets in addressing key socioeconomic structural issues of Portugal. Written, supervised and reviewed more than 30 articles related to Economics for the Newspapers Público (Vox Nova: Biweekly articles from 02/18-12/18), Diário de Notícias (Dinheiro Vivo: 2019 Budget, 4th Industrial Revolution and monthly partnership in Opinion folder: 02/19-Present) and NEC Magazine (03/16-09/19).
