Working with clients to import commodities into the U.S with a focus on Ocean Importing and Canadian Border crossing. Advising and coming up with solutions on port delays and congestion at various terminals and rail ramps to ensure the clients supply chain is still functioning at a high level. Collaborating with Customs Brokers and other Freight Forwarders to verify all Customs related documents have been provided, ISF was filed timely and CBSA EHBL documentation is accurate and filed in Descartes. Training team members on new processes and relaying information from management to direct reports on changes in the industry and within the company. Working internally with the Billing department to keep the clients account current and in good standing and troubleshooting for any discrepencies with invoicing from truckers or steamshiplines. Daily duties include: Customer Service through emails and calls, Dispatching delivery orders and pick up numbers, creating Arrival Notice packets, working with Terminals and Ramps to clear holds and any fees due, invoicing and sending receivables to clients, distributing work amongst team members depending on the need and assiting with questions and errors.

Leading a team of 11 direct reports with mulltiple clients importing freight into the U.S by means of Air/Ocean and Rail/Border moves. Interacting with clients daily on statuses and providing high level reporting to them about topics such as duty outlays and CBP holds in certain ports. Promoting growth within the team and company by having monthly/quarterly/annual performance reviews with team members. Assisting manangement with metrics for QBRs and presenting results to clients during the meetings. Other duties included data entry, auditing entries, creating and sending duty drawback projects to other stations and training direct reports.

Filing Customs entries with a focus on commodities dealing with FDA and EPA agencies. Handling warehouse entries to FTZs, and working with CBP on any withdrawals for the client. Assisting team members with errors and rejections from CBP and OGA agencies while keeping clients and truckers updated on clearance statuses. Duties mainly included: Customer Service, data entry, filing, general office administration duties, completing company trainings timely and exceeding the company's metrics for accuracy and productivity for file counts and lines entered.

Checking in customers devices for repairs and replacement parts for defective or damaged units in a retail setting. Ordering parts from/prepping devices to ship to various tech manufacturers; Apple, Dell, Microsoft, HP, etc while following the unique procedures required from each company. Inventory counts and stock replenishment for the store's on-hand parts for routine customer repairs not requiring external company assistance or for out of warranty devices. Assisting with customer returns and cashiering when needed.
