• Provides immediate and comprehensive technical support to customers pertaining to electrical and electronic control systems, PLC products, PLC applications and designs, operator interfaces, and associated software.• Conducts design, assembly, testing and simulation systems to identify and resolve reported product issues.• Contributes to overall effort to provide design, application, technical, and troubleshooting assistance to Emerson sales and field engineers, support engineers, certified support providers, distributors, and customers.

• Experience in PLC migration with Allen-Bradley and Triconex hardware and software environments.• Performs routine Instrumentation Engineering items including but not limited to testing, troubleshooting, calibration, hardware and software modification, repair, and documentation activities for the plant's instruments and logic controllers.• Created the Asset Policy basis for almost one thousand field instruments that is used by the refinery’s Planning department to determine the criticality and corresponding maintenance program for each instrument.• Implemented the initial phase of the Patrol Inspection System project, which aims to integrate field-side non-DCS operations data into a digital database.• Worked on the major project to upgrade the software and hardware of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System of two of the refinery’s process units.

• Composed a set of standard operating procedures for Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) -to-Personal Computer (PC) connection to supplement the plant’s Disaster Recovery Plan.• Designed project proposals and their corresponding implementations for the upgrading of the plant’s Programmable Logic Controller and instruments installations in response to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) study recommendations, improving the plant’s safety and profits through business continuity in the process.• Created training materials and facilitated training sessions for refinery operators regarding safety logic and interlocks for the plant’s critical compressor packages.
