- Oversee all operations at two biosafety level II microbiology laboratories

- Provide basic medical aid or wound care to individuals residing at The Warming Shelter that consists of beds for 80 males, 20 females, and 4 families. - Retain medical records for all individuals seen in an adequate and organized manner. - Maintain a competent and confident bedside manner while having the ability to handle a dynamic and stressful environment without haste or errors.

- Coordinate, develop, execute, and oversee the medication reconciliation program for the entire medical facility in collaboration with clinical pharmacy staff, hospitalist physicians, and nursing staff. - Promote medication education amongst medical staff and the community, and construct presentations for MAGNET healthcare consultants. - Gather relevant information and data on prior-to-admission (PTA) medications for all adult patients within 24 hours of admission and transcribe into EPIC. - Foster clear and effective communication between physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and auxiliary personnel to relay pertinent medical information and pharmaceutical therapy changes.- Utilize various medical software platforms (i.e. EPIC, AllScripts, Centricity, etc.) to access patient off-site medical records to obtain necessary and crucial health information. - Employ investigative skills to determine what is accurate and current for pharmaceutical therapies for patients who are managed by various physicians (i.e. cardiology, nephrology, neurology, etc.), or if patients are unreliable in providing their medical histories. - Provide PRN assistance in cardiac telemetry by monitoring and analyzing cardiac rhythms, and provide translating services for Spanish and French patients if necessary.

- Adhere to USDA and FDA regulations in analyzing raw meat products for US consumers and adhere to regulations specified by international clients. - Maintain sterile protocols in accordance to company policy in order to prevent cross contamination or exposure to potentially infectious diseases. - Utilize the Genetic Detection System device to amplify DNA or 3M PetriFilms to cultivate bacterial growth in order to identify specific species of pathogenic microorganisms, and to ultimately provide safe consumable products to consumers. - Sustain a clean, organized laboratory environment and provide maintenance on autoclaves, Primus sterilizers, deionized water apparatuses, and an array of numerous laboratory Percival and Fisher-Scientific incubators.- Maintain ISO records for process control, quality assurance, and federal regulatory agencies.

- Receive written prescription or refill requests from prescribers and verify that information is complete, accurate, and in accordance with pharmacy and medical board regulations. - Maintain proper storage and security conditions for medications, and order, label, and count stock of chemicals and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory data in computer.- Respond to inquiries or requests of patients by answering questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information.- Establish, maintain, and release patient information, including lists of medications taken by individual patients, by following proper HIPPA protocols.- Accurately transfer medications into vials, compound pharmaceutical preparations precisely according to physician instructions, and properly dispense medications to patients.

- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for medications, and order, label, and count stock of chemicals and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory data in computer.- Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas, and sterilize glassware/compounding equipment according to proper sanitation methods.- Accurately transfer medications into dose packaging, compound pharmaceutical preparations precisely according to physician instructions, and properly dispense medications according to receiving facility standards. - Add measured drugs or nutrients to intravenous solutions under sterile conditions to prepare intravenous packs under pharmacist supervision.

- Assist physicians, physician’s assistants, and nurse practitioners with minor procedures such as suturing, casting, and ultrasound. - Triage non-critical patients by gathering patient information, vital signs, auscultating for heart and lung sounds, and presenting chief complaint information to attending physician in a rounding format. - Interview patients in order to ascertain relevant data on medical conditions or medications for use in physician diagnosis and treatment options.- Foster effective and efficient communication between the emergency department and community pharmacies. - Provide BCLS and medical assistance to in critical or emergent cases.- Obtain data and statistics in relation to traumatic brain injuries (TBI) for end-of-course research assignment.
