I'm passionate about helping my clients and therapists who train with me to gain access to their authentic selves, and to bring their authentic selves to the world--as individuals, in relationships, in their work, and in their communities.My job as a therapist is to help people walk all the way through the joys or difficulties they face, so that they can emerge into growth, vitality, and healing. My style is authentic, affirming, and genuinely engaged, and I approach each person as an individual with a body, a mind, and a soul. I view painful or challenging aspects of life as doorways to learning rather than as signs of sickness needing to be cured.My job as a writer is to help a wide variety of people understand the purpose and joy of expanding their range of emotional experience, and the value of becoming deeply connected to one's true self. I founded the DEEP Center for Counseling and Psychotherapist Training to offer a wide variety of trainings to therapists. My trainings are rooted in a rich blend of intensive attachment-based experiential therapies, depth psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, existential ideas, and somatic therapies. My trainings include a grounding in AEDP because I find it to be a strong, clearly defined, science-based, ever-evolving, overarching therapy model. And all of my trainings include aspects of therapist self-discovery and expanded cutting-edge practices that provide a strong foundation for therapists who do this work.Specialties: I am experienced in and enjoy working with a wide variety of issues. In addition, I have intensive training and experience in my specialties, which include grief and loss, life transition, trauma, and parents' issues.
