Cort's expertise in animation for viewers of all ages includes action-adventure, comedy & preschool shows - in every length from short-form to feature.Cort is currently Exec Producing the new My Little Pony CGI series for Netflix. He's also Exec Producer on the documentary "No Straight Lines: The Rise of Queer Comics", premiering at Tribeca & Outfest jury prize winner. He's also been serving on GLAAD's Kids & Family Advisory Council, as head judge of the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International, and producing for Brave New Films about systemic racism in prison sentencing.Until Jan '20, Cort was Marvel’s SVP, Animation & Family Entertainment. He led Marvel’s robust slate of family-targeted projects in both animation & live-action while overseeing Marvel Animation Studios - and consulted on creative for consumer products, live events & Disney parks. Cort also launched a YouTube channel, Marvel HQ, developed preschool series “Spidey & His Amazing Friends” (Disney Jr.) and partnered with Disney TVA & Laurence Fishburne on “Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur”. Cort also launched Marvel’s 1st girls' franchise “Marvel Rising” and the series “Black Panther’s Quest” (nominated for NAACP Image Awards). Other series include “Marvel's Spider-Man,” “Avengers Assemble,” “Guardians of the Galaxy”, 4 seasons of preschool shorts "Marvel Super Hero Adventures" (Disney Jr. & Marvel HQ) and 2 feature-lengths for Netflix. Cort executive co-produced “Marvel’s Ant-Man” shorts, Emmy-nominated “Marvel’s Rocket & Groot”, five Marvel/LEGO specials, 6 series & 2 movies in anime, and the live-action “Vengadores en Acción” (Disney España). Upon joining Marvel he produced "Iron Man Armored Adventures" (Nicktoons) and was show runner on "The Super Hero Squad Show" (Cartoon Network), "Ultimate Spider-Man" (Disney XD/Channel) and "Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. (XD). Cort teamed with Marvel CCO Joe Quesada to develop "Big Hero 6" as a concept for Disney Animation.Prior to joining Marvel in 2008, Cort spent 7 years at Mattel developing/producing for Barbie and Fisher-Price brands. His Mattel tenure included Universal Home Entertainment’s “Barbie In A Christmas Carol” and development on “Monster High”.
