As a warehouse loader I work as a part of a team that gathers a wide array of products, builds orders, and prepares them for delivery. In addition to my normal duties, I operate a forklift to retrieve and restock product as needed for the warehouse. The job requires focus and attention to detail in order to accurately and efficiently prepare the order for the customer. Over the last 8 months I have consistently been the top performer in the warehouse.

As an event manager I was responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating the logistics of events throughout the Iowa Events Center and Wells Fargo Arena. I created and maintained event budgets and resumes, scheduled necessary personnel to staff events, and worked directly with clients to troubleshoot any issues that arrived before or during events. In addition to working directly with clients, I worked with internal staff, external vendors, and the City of Des Moines to ensure all practices and policies were followed. After each event I prepared event settlements and reports detailing attendance, times, and issues that may have come up.

At the country club I had several different hats. As the assistant manager I managed 6 different employees throughout the day, delegating duties in order to upkeep the pool area. I managed the pool staff in regards to carrying out their duties, created the schedule for the next the upcoming two weeks took care of general maintenance of the pool and pool area. At the beginning of the summer in 2014, I was the acting manager while the manger was still in school and coaching track an field. This consisted of running work days to get the pool ready for opening day, working with the owner of the country club to figure out various details in regards to making the proper updates to the pool. Along with with the assistant manger position I was also a lifeguard and the assistant swim coach for the pool's team, planning and conducting practices for children form ages 6-15 during the week. As well, I conducted private swim lessons for children under the age of ten.

On the production crew I work at Hilton Coliseum. We set up and tear down as needed for Iowa State Men's and Women's basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, and any other events held in the arena.

The Maintenance Shop is an on campus night club that holds concerts and other events for the Iowa State students and Ames area. I sell tickets and monitor the space during the day, and during shows I sell alcohol to concert goers. I sometimes have to handle upwards of $1500 while closing the box office and bar.

As the National Events Director I planned and executed 4 concerts by national touring acts and 2 comedy shows including Nick Swardson, Anthony Jeselnik, Jamie Lynn Spears, David Nail, twenty one pilots, and Timeflies. In preparation for these shows I drafted press releases, mass emails, and continually updated the webpage for my events. I was required to manage the day of events from load and setup to load out and tear down. I led a marketing team of 9 students in promoting these shows through different outlets. I was also in charge of managing 10-20 volunteers during the concerts and shows.

As the ballroom intern managed the ballroom during weddings, receptions, and banquets. I also gave tours of the space, providing information about the building and the services we provide. I would also sit in during consultations with clients going over and finalizing details of their events. Another duty that I held was serving as the liaison for the different vendors we used during our events.

During my internship with Clear Channel in Des Moines I performed various duties. During my days in the office I would insert segues into radio shows, produce and create radio promotions, and assist in managing the radio stations Facebook page and website. When not in the office, I would travel around the Des Moines area to various events promoting the radio station. These included high school football games, concerts, the farmers market, and other remote events.

As an usher/ticket taker I worked at the Century Link Center and TD Ameritrade Park during events such as the College World Series, Olympic Swim Trials, and several concerts. My duties included escorting patrons to their seats, scanning tickets, and interacting with guests throughout the events.

This was my first job at the neighborhood pool I grew up at. I worked here for 5 summers before it was closed down due to insufficient funding. I supervised the pool area, sold concessions, and performed opening and closing duties. I assisted in group swim lessons with other coworkers.
