Thirty-four years now in the real estate business. The first twelve at "Big Name" Local, then ten years at "big name" franchise. And finally, the right place for me, my own brand: BrinkerHoff Real Estate, starting in 2001. On my own, its been quite a ride. Real estate was a staple investment for most folks until 2008. That's when I had to tell my people to stop in their tracks. Don't buy. Don't sell. Not until 2011 did we see real change in our local market: Real demand returned, and values began to stabilize. Real estate returned to the list of good investment options. We were back. Cindy, my talented and capable wife, joined me in March 2012, with exceptional organizational ability, and unparalleled interpersonal skills. Last year, 2012, was a genuine turnaround year for residential real estate in Lawrence, commercial woke up, as well, and Cindy and I did more business than I had ever done in my entire career. In 2013, out business realized even more productivity, resulting in another record year. Remarkably, the first half of 2014 brought continued improvement, and it looks like another record will be set for Brinkerhoff Real Estate. I am grateful for the profound improvement in the economy, and the real estate market, and for the invaluable assistance Cindy brings the business, and our success. We are a great team.
