Coordinate preparation of manufacturing operations for launch of interior trim products for the Mercedes BR167 SUV product line produced at their Tuscaloosa, AL assembly plant. Coordinate tooling movements. Oversee engineering changes and communicate to customer. Evaluate potential suppliers for tool movements to supplement production capacity. Coordinate plant PPAP activities for all production parts and submit samples/ documentation to the customer. Calculate plant capacity compared to customer demand and develop contingency plans when demand exceeds available production capacity. Communicate with customer quality and engineering personnel to address issues and improve product performance. Manage all customer electronic portal communications. Represent plant during customer and regulatory audits. Participate in continuous improvement actions, track progress and drive completion.

-Develop & implement plant QMS and dept. for launch of Mercedes BR167 SUV program-Coordinate PPAP submission and approval of all shipping units.-Screen, hire and train quality department staff of salaried and hourly personnel. -Act as management representative for ISO/ IATF QMS audit activities. -Manage supply base and audit suppliers for adherence to Company and Mercedes quality standards. --Develop and implement pre-launch containment process.-Develop plant quality metrics and track/ report performance. -Coordinate adherence to regulatory requirements both domestic and international.

Oversee all functions of Quality and Engineering Deptartments including:-Supervision of department hourly and salaried staff members-Creation, Implementation and Maintenance of Quality Mangement System-Manage Internal Audit Program-Responsible for Maintaining ISO 13485 Certification-Quoting, Process Development and Continuous Improvement Activities-Customer Interface on Design Transfer Activities-Lead Site Validation Activities for Equipment, Process & Measurement Systems-Oversee Materials Crib and Inventory Processing

Facilitate product design transfer between product development and manufacturing facility.

Ensure customer satisfaction on outgoing bumper assemblies and other exterior trim components for the Mercedes SUV program. Provide direction to quality team of 3 salaried and up to 17 hourly personnel. Ensure incoming purchased material meets customer and plant quality standards. Provide feedback to plant management team on quality issues, lead and participate in cross functional problem solving activities.
