The project’s phasing encompassed coordination to maintain physical security and embassy functions while ensuring budget and schedule are met. Upon the completion of the contract the embassy the upgraded building will meet the current TSS, fire protection, mechanical, electrical and security requirements. • Represented the company in all matters as required in New Zealand, and provided weekly reports to headquarters and monthly reports to the client to maintain transparent operations of works and schedule. • Implemented site policies and managed the staffing, hiring and dismissal of employees and sub-contractors to ensure appropriate resources were available.• Reviewed contracts to ensure all work was being performed in accordance with local and international laws.• Developed proposals and responded to requests for proposals• Bought out and managed sub-contractors to replace disciplines, or to find more competitive rates for the work, and negotiated outstanding sub-contractor balances • Implemented improved controls for shipping that permitted the team to better manage inventories and shipments to and from the site. • Led the development of a revised baseline schedule in Primavera, for submission and approval, that reflected renegotiated phasing. • Worked closely with Quality Control to ensure our team was meeting contract requirements, and looked at ways to track and/or prevent scope creep. • Directed the Health & Safety Manager to revise the CAPP, and facilitated our team to implement an improved safety program • Coordinated closely with the client to ensure expectations for schedule, budget and quality were met. Interacted and maintained relationships with all personnel on the team to include the client, staff, sub-contractors, vendors, embassy personnel and politicians. • Reviewed site security policies, developed and implemented a security brief for all employees, and implemented streamlined practices for managing site security and access.
