 Collaborate with Operations Manager, Corporate management, and the client to prepare and submit customer invoices based off of in depth review and understanding of our contract (including day rate, novation agreements, agent contracts, and vendor agreements).  Managed our relationship with, and collections from, our customer in their various locations around the world.  Supervise the local AP function in the preparation of invoices, receipt and coding of invoices, including applicable taxes, payment of invoices and the necessary accounting entries that accompany these. Oversaw relationship with PWC tax consultants and acted as the intermediary between them and our Corporate Tax department.  Hired and managed local office staff. Manage the budget and ad hoc financial analysis for our drillship and the supporting office. Complete month-end and quarter-end forecast along with closing journal entries and accruals. Liaise with HR departments locally and abroad to ensure crew changes, visa applications and travel proceeded in a managed way. Assisted with local logistics function and Rowan Agents in the timely and handling of all shipments in and out of the country. Key player in promptly rectifying a finding by the Ministry of Petroleum that threatened our local presence.
