After completing my time in the Navy on the submarine force, I came back to Hutchinson, KS to complete my degree in Paralegal studies. The degree allowed me to work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where I completed their nationally recognized management training program. A recruiter for Meritrust Credit Union reached out to me about an operations manager position, and I took the opportunity to enter a new field that I was very interested in. After two years in that role, Meritrust closed out certain positions, mine being one of them. So I used my prior military training and moved to their IT department, where I did everything from help-desk support to coding. I also worked closely with other departments to maximize their success in any IT way. While at Meritrust I was also a senior member of their political action committee, which worked with state and federal organizations to promote credit unions. This included everything from recruitment to meeting with lawmakers. A Data Maintenance position opened with Daymon Worldwide, and I wanted to explore that field more so I came aboard. 6 months after joining Daymon, the position was outsourced. I have a natural talent and drive for developing people and Olive Garden allowed me to do that as a service manager.
