As a financial advisor, I provide independent financial and investment advice to approximately 200 families. In my practice, I specialize in wealth creation, income and estate planning. I work on a fee based compensation platform whereby I am paid a fee based on the assets I manage for each client.I am seeking new clients to add to my practice who have the following attributes:- A sense of humour- A desire to work with a professional to plan and execute their investment strategy- Have investment assets of more than $500,000- A sense of humour- Will ask questions when unsure and actively participate in planning for their retirement- A sense of humour (not necessarily in this order!)Outside the office, I am a devoted husband to my wife of more than 30 years and to our four amazing (and sometimes challenging) children! To fill my days, I have an eclectic mix of interests:Cook - I love to create new and interesting dishes to entertain (and feed) our friends and family.Renovate - Much to my family and my neighbour's chagrin, my tools are always out and creating the noise that is my next renovation project. Build - I love to create things out of one-of-a-kind items. Flawless red spruce became a heart-shaped urn, live-edge lumber and stainless steel became a coffee table, a steel beam, rods and a block of wood became a side table and re-claimed lumber from a 100-year-old factory became a dining table. Travel - We love to travel and have done so extensively. As my wife always says, "travel is university without walls". Well put.
