I am currently a student at Temple University studying construction management, I should have my degree completed in the fall of 2018. My first two and a half years of college were at Northampton Community College, I chose to split up my education to save money and fit my work schedule. I work at Nordic now and since I am in the field I have gotten to learn firsthand how hectic and busy a construction site can be. Being around large commercial construction on a regular basis has allowed me to gain tons of general knowledge about concrete, site work, drawings, and the necessity of communication. While I was working at Terminal as an intern I was exposed to the other side of the industry, the office and management side. Over the summer I helped the people I was working with as much as I could but they made it clear I was there to learn, so I soaked in everything I could. I learned how to read drawings, do take offs, make punch lists, and about some of the processes that go into managing a construction site.
