The Vice President of IT is instrumental in creating and executing the technology roadmap for Stinker. Skunks may stink, but our technology shouldn’t. This role is a visionary for where the convenience industry is going, pushing us to be cutting-edge in industry technology trends, network security, and customer support. What You’ll Do:As a member of Stinker’s Leadership team, you will be responsible for strategic planning across all functions of IT. Since IT touches every department we have, it’s critical to communicate and work in lock step with peers cross-functionally to understand key stakeholder needs and make technology recommendations against must have, nice to have and not gonna happen. Serve as a people leader and mentor to guide your amazing team of hard-working skunks to ensure they are set up for success and developmental growth in their designated areas. We don’t want you to be that Leader the office turns into a meme chain through email.Negotiates vendor contracts and owns the relationship of IT vendors since usually no one else in the room understands the 500 acronyms and tech jargon being used.Assess feasibility and drive results through project management of technology projects, making sure the technology isn’t outdated by the time it’s implemented.All the fun leadership stuff like budget forecasting, decision making, people leading and fire-putting-outting.

Plans and implements additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with corporate leadership.Oversees the implementation of network security at the corporate level.Anticipates future network needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs.Oversees the planning and management of the company's telephone system and manages company-wide upgrade efforts.Overseas training development and lab based initiatives.Internal SystemsReview, recommend and deploy all necessary software and hardware upgrades.Asset ManagementHelps establish and build relationships with vendors in conjunction with corporate leadership.Oversees all IT-related purchasing and budget usage; works with accounting to develop budgets.Holds responsibility for capacity planning and scheduling vendor negotiations related to IT.Ensures department is well informed, at all times, of changes and news worthy events within the company.Effectively communicates relevant IT-related information to superiors.Handles difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.Promotes the company through speaking engagements at industry conferences and involvement in local business organizations.Exercises staff oversight to ensure new operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans are consistent with the overall company goals and objectives.Holds responsibility for IT staffing and budgeting projections on a company-wide basis.

Contribute to general business planning regarding technology and systems required to maintain company operations and competitiveness. Recognize new developments in information systems technology, and anticipates organizational modifications. Establish long-term needs for information systems, and plan strategy for developing systems and acquiring hardware to meet application needs. Ensure confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information, and intellectual property. Oversee IT operations including computer operations, data entry, data control, and operations support.Manage area employees, assign and review projects and manage department budget to ensure goals are met. Manage disaster recovery functions for information systems. Arrange and administer security measures to restrict unauthorized use of data systems and databases.Coordinate any security investigations and execute preventive measures.Organize off-site storage necessary for recovery processes, and oversee development of recovery procedures. Support organization departments in planning and implementing security or disaster recovery actions. Install, configure, and maintains the organization's LAN server and workstations.Act as primary organizational interface with vendors and provide internal analysis and support. Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization's local area networks and wide area networks. Manage LAN/WAN performance and security. Determine hardware and software needs and manage the installation of new operating systems. Oversee the planning, installation, control, and maintenance of personal computers within the organization. Analyze business needs and new technology and makes recommendations. Develop organizational policies and procedures for hardware and software acquisition and use.

Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables. Evaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis. Direct staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems. Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation. Coach and provide career development advice to staff. Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews. Responsible for staff scheduling that included: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations. Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels. Schedule and conduct staff meetings. Responsible for meeting department productivity and quality goals. Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers. Serve on committees and teams as department representative. Complete HR paperwork.

Produce detailed information, using internal computer systems to allow management to base decisions on actual, not historical, data.
