I make handcrafted sculptures and pottery for the garden, kitchen and table.  I love materials and process, and exploring the ways they influence and participate in the rhythms of life around them.  I am constantly expanding my understanding of the immense variety of techniques in construction, surfacing, decoration, glazes and firing used in ceramics and how they must be navigated to produce the desired result.  Clay is a medium that invites participation and personal connection like few others.  I want not only to create sculpture and everyday objects that reflect the life of the material but to use that participation as a way of opening up space for conversation and understanding.
