About Cory Patton

I've been in the game development industry for over 13 years with numerous shipped titles for Wiiware, DS, 3DS, XBLA, LeapPad, PC, VR, and Mobile. These titles could be placed in a variety of genres like: Minigames, Platforming, RPG, Tower Defense, MMO RPG, VR, Match Three, Time Management, and Sports.Over this time and with each title I’ve worked on, I’ve had the opportunity to develop a broad set of professional and creative skills. I'm well organized, detail driven, and a quick learner. When I see a problem, I puzzle through creative solutions to fix the issue at hand. Often times I find myself speaking with team members from different departments in order to optimize the development pipeline. I thrive on collaboration and take feedback well, but can also shift into a leadership role when needed. When working with a team I like to find out what makes them passionate about making games and fostering that passion into maximizing their creativity and production.

    I work on a small but nimble team of artists and programmers to develop core game concepts, create/implement art for a variety of styles and build Mini Games out for larger game systems. The team of artists are tasked with taking any asset imagined, from multiple sources, and convert/modify/extrapolate those assets (Models, Rigs, Animations, Textures and UVs) to fit within the art style of the games.A few of my other responsibilities include creating animation systems within Unity’s Mecanim system for complex character behaviors, as well as providing motion capture for VR game trailers and promotional videos. As with most small studios, I not only contribute art assets to the game but also provide quality assurance and testing.
