I am responsible for responding to incidents and ensuring that the needed resources are available or requested from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency. I am also responsible for setup and operations of the Emergency Operations Center if the incident requires large-scale response.

During my time as Base Educator, I provided initial training and orientation for new hire flight clinicians as well as EMS Fellows within the Erlanger Health System. I provided outreach education for EMS providers, fire/rescue agencies, and other first responders in multiple states. I played an integral part in developing the curriculum and instructing the inaugural Critical Care Paramedic initial education course sponsored by Erlanger Health System which concluded with > 90% first pass success rate on the Tennessee Critical Care Paramedic exam. As part of the Education Committee, I worked with other clinical educators within the program to develop, update, and maintain orientation and continuing education materials for flight clinicians of all experience levels. I also served as a member of the CQI Committee to help insure all patient care practices were carried out to industry standards by our crew members.

I am also responsible for the treatment and transport of patients from the local emergency department to appropriate specialty centers as needed for a higher level of care. I am also responsible for ensuring that employees and records are compliant with State of Tennessee Standards.
