• Monitor technical support mailbox, respond to emails from Mechanical field employees assisting with anyissues related to MEMS, SAP issues and other mechanical systems.

• Work with TS, Field and Shop Operations to educate and correct problems related to the entry and reportingof Mechanical information.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

• Serve as the subject matter expert for FRA, AAR & BNSF mechanical questions from the NOC and field personnel
• Assist and instruct train crews in the troubleshooting of locomotives and cars
• Coordinate repair of online failures with NOC and field minimize business impact of said failures
• Manage and monitor the routing of failed and past due locomotives to the appropriate repair facilities

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

• Review daily terminal operating plan with General Foreman, Terminal Manager and or Trainmaster
• Position labor and equipment to inspect, test and repair equipment to meet the needs of the daily plan
• Schedule repair for locomotives at locations away from the terminal to ensure the equipment is returned to service
• Provide technical support to apprentice employees and serve as decision making authority on level of repairs, accident damage assessment and derailment recovery

Lubbock, Texas Area

• Responsible for testing, inspecting and properly repairing the electrical components of diesel electric locomotive systems, equipment and machinery
• Comply with company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment, responding to safety concerns and taking appropriate action
• Test, inspect and repair switches, heaters, air conditioners, DC power systems, event recorder tapes, lights, water coolers, batteries, low voltage systems, high voltage systems, traction motors, cooling fans and fuel.
