I am a kidney transplant patient at The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida. I have been diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease and cancer on one of my kidneys. I have been actively seeking a living kidney donor for over a year, as this is the only option that can save my life. I am also a cancer survivor and a 2002 Man of the Year for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.As a former actor, I’ve worked on Broadway as well as film and tv. Including as host of Nickelodeons The Big Help, Nickelodeons green initiative and community service effort. I also received a degree in Graphic Design, from The University of Cincinnati School of Design, Architecture,Art and Planning. Through Design three my passion for photography, visual arts and animation was born. Married with my years in entertainment, I developed a love for Disney, Disney Nostalgia and The Disney Culture. Thus my decision to move from NY, to FL. for kidney treatment and ultimately transplant… along with The Mayo Clinic being one of the best and most progressive transplant institutes. How amazing would it me to find my Kideny Donor in the Most Magical Place on Earth.As a patient, living donor advocate and “A Friend of Disney” I look forward to building a social media platform called “Friends of Disney” by merging my search for That Magic Kidney, with my love of Disney to build a community of like minded friends, to support educate and celebrate medical journeys within the Disney Community plus a little pixie dust. This will be an opportunity to engage with potential donors, sharing my story, and expressing my gratitude and appreciation the generosity and compassion this “world” has given to me. I am motivated by the goal of finding a match and inspiring hope, courage and compassion in others, with similar passions, facing life changing challenges.
